¡Presta atención! = ¡Pon atención!
Can they both be used? I always use the first but I heard the second lately, in a TV show. Gracias.

Both mean the same thing, and both are equally valid. Who uses which is a matter of custom.
Just Googling '¡Pon atención! there are lots of results, although many many of them refer to a song title.
A few examples:
Pon atención a tu salud bucal.
Pon atención cuando compras un Mac de segunda mano.
¡Aguas! ¡Pon atención!
Pon atención al detalle.
For me: interchangeables.
The second sounds maybe more colloquial.
Presta atención! = ¡Pon atención!
I agree with Gekkosan but with this note. I hear "pon attención" more frequently. and in my opinion "pon attención" has a bit more strength.
Nunca he oído el segundo. Me interesa la respuesta.
Good question. I'm bumping it up in hopes to get more responses.
