Don't get too close to paint. Paint and painting are exactly the same word? Pintura?

Fuera plomo, es que para mantenerse saludable........ mejor evitar la pintura y las cosas que contienen plomo.

Gracias.

Yes, although painting can also be translated as "cuadro".

Fuera plomo, es que para mantenerse saludable mejor evitar la pintura y cosas que contienen plomo.

I am not sure where you are trying to get at here, but it would sound more natural something like "¡Nada de plomo!" or "¡Fuera el plomo!", and then continue with "Es que..." as a new sentence. Also, you are missing "es" between "saludable" and "mejor", and it is preferable to write "las" before "cosas".

I guess the Sesame street guys got it wrong then with "fuera plomo". I assumed they meant "Get out lead",. - jeezzle, Apr 12, 2011
