It would be gustaban .
It's not gustaron , because that is the 3rd person preterite conjugation. You're looking for the imperfect conjugation, which is as follows for gustar :
- yo gustaba
- tu gustabas
- él/ella/usted gustaba
- nosotros gustábamos
- vosotros gustabais
- ellos/ellas/ustedes gustaban
The bolded conjugation is the plural form you're looking for.
