Estar hay de pie

Tengo un problema para traducir la letra de una canción. ¿Alguien puede ayudarme por favor?

Cubri mis ojos con mis manos

y luego imagine

que estabas hay de pie disimulando por mi.

Mi intento:

I covered my eyes with my hands

and (then) imagined

you were ???? hiding from me.

Considering that those lyrics are plagued with orthographic mistakes, I do not think it is preposterous to assume that they have also written "ahí" (there) as "hay", since that "hay" makes no sense whatsoever, and "ahí" does.

I suggest you try to find another page where people can write.

Could it mean "you were standing there"?

I use the phrase "de pie" as an instruction for someone to stand.
