Corrected your title. You were asking two different questions. - Eddy, Apr 11, 2011

Me gusta means (literally) 'it/he/she pleases me' (present tense) or in English - I like it/him/her.

Me gustó means (literally) 'it/he/she pleased me' (past tense) or in English - I liked it/him/her smile

  • NB remember though that 'gustaba' the imperfect tense can also be used - me gustaba - also meaning it/he/she pleased me but with a slightly different meaning regarding the timing.

This is a good question but you will need to open a new thread that means: ask this question separately because this thread is related to the question above asked by canonsomunco - FELIZ77, Apr 11, 2011
