You could say: ¿Cómo fue tu día? o ¿Qué tal tu día?

.... if you are talking to a friend, child or member of your family. You would use su in place of tu for addressing older people, those in authority and strangers

I hope this helpsgrin

Corregid mi español, por favor grin

I think you would use the word Estar instead of Ser since your asking about the condition of someone's day. So you would conjugate Estar to the third person preterit.

"¿Cómo estuvo su día?" would be correct I think.

I disagree. The answer malo, bueno, así-así is more of a classification thatn a description. I would use Ser. For a description I would use Tener. Tenía un día interesante, terrible, horrible. - 0074b507, Apr 11, 2011
Googling, it may be that either is possible depending on context. ¿Cómo estaba el día donde usted vive? Estaba nublado. - 0074b507, Apr 11, 2011
one detail - 'estuve' is 1st person form, 'estuvo' is 3rd person. - Sinedd, Apr 11, 2011

If you said ¿Cómo estaba tu día? I would say that you were looking for a description of the day and how it changed over time. If you said ¿Cómo estuvo tu día? I would say that it meant how was your day (today), like a summary of the current day.
