For asking questions, Wordreference.com is pretty good. However, this site seems more fun somehow.
For just learning, I got started with studyspanish.com, which has a nice series of free lessons. (It also sells a series of lessons, but I just used the free online lessons).
Then, there's Destinos, a free series of videos which is, at the same time, both a TV show and also a series of lessons...I never really got far into the series, though. But what I did see was pretty descent.
Of course, there's tons of sites out there about Spanish and other languages. But you can't be guaranteed of correctness at any site, really.
For interactive practice and just great fun, I recommend this:
BBC Spanish -- Mi vida loca - Interact with 22 episodes - great for beginners complete with printouts.
About.com Spanish Language is also very good, like here it's all free and they will email you a Word of the Day plus more daily topics.
We actually have the best specialist on Grammar on this website, any question concerning grammar, nobody as proficient and knowledgable as Lazarus, please make a search on the web for his name, he is famous
