I don't understand your question. Could you be more specific?
If you are referring to the site not accepting your name as "meredith", that name is most likely taken on the site.

Welcome to the forum Merelee. Dogwood has the answer but I would like to point out that you must use correct punctuation and capitalization on this forum, it is, afterall, a learning site. By the way, the word you shoud have there is accept not "except".

Well I really can't give you straight up answer for that, but you can try using a different name similar to Meredith.
