¨cuadros de fatiga¨

¨cuadros de fatiga¨

I am bit confused by this expression in an article about a half-marathon. Runners were suffering from ¨cuadros de fatiga.¨ Perhaps ¨fits of fatigue¨ or something similar?

I think the word cuadro can also mean "symptom" of an illness,
but I'm sure you will receive other answers to clarify your question.

Correct. And now that I re-read the OP, I guess they were "...suffering from fatigue symptoms..."

or exhaustion symptoms... smile

Great! Rae.es includes this definition for cuadro: clínico. 1. m. Med. Conjunto de síntomas que presenta un enfermo o que caracterizan una enfermedad. - chris126, Apr 10, 2011

As cuadro clínico can mean medical profile perhaps it's equivalent to (chronic) fatigue syndrome? Just a guess mind you smile
