what is an abrogada

what is an abrogada

My female friend received a letter addressed to her married name. Following the name was a comma and the term Abrogada.

She instinctively thought the writer meant Abogada, or female lawyer.

Is the word Abrogada common in Latin, Central America or Mexico? Is it Philippine or Castillian?

Thank you.

The term would be almost certainly be abogada = a female lawyer

The extra letter would be a typing error/typo

the verb abrogar means to abrogate but I have never heard of a person making their living doing this raspberry smile LOL grin

I hope that helps grin
