Desgraciadamente no puedo dormir = Unfortunately, I cannot sleep

Desgraciadamente no podía dormir= Unfortunately, I wasn't able to sleep

By the way a girl I help from Colombia, with her English told me a few months ago that desafortunadamente is the formal word for unfortunately and desgracaiadamente is the more informal word used between friends.and family

I hope this helps grin
