full-face and profile photos

Please, help me translate this into Spanish: 'a full-face photo and a profile photo' (like the photos of criminals they take at the police). All that I've found in the dictionary is 'retrato' and 'perfil' but I am afraid these words are not right. Thank you.

Are you looking for the equivalent of a "mugshot"?

mug shot sustantivo (colloq) foto f (de archivo policial)

Yes, I am looking for this thing. Maybe in Spanish it's una foto de frente y de perfil? - Aniri, Apr 9, 2011

As you probably know, mug shot is basically a photograph take of your "mug" or face... now "mug" in Spanish has been translated as "jeta" as in [what a mug she's got! = ¡qué jeta tiene!] or 'careto'... but for mug shot or booking photograph as it is actually referred to, you can use "fotografía para las fichas" ... and if you go to Smoking Gun...

You will see lots of examples, especially of celebrities!

"takeN" or "that they take"... sorry :) - cristalino, Apr 8, 2011
For celebrities, models, it is a "head" shot. Heaven forbid that they use the same terminology that refers to criminals. - 0074b507, Apr 8, 2011
Q, I was merely referring to those so-called celebrities that, by their own indiscretions, chose to run afoul of the law... :) - cristalino, Apr 8, 2011
Muchas gracias, Cristiano. - Aniri, Apr 9, 2011

I think there should be some special words if I am talking about the police photos. Do they take 'portraits' there? - Aniri, Apr 8, 2011
Una foto.... - 00e657d4, Apr 8, 2011
