Me gusta jugar al kinect.

(Kinect refers to the xbox movement technology).

My Spanish partner told me it should be "A mi gusta jugar al kinect". I think thats wrong... I´m not even sure I should be using "al". He also replaced "jugar" with "juego" at one point...

Help please?

Thanks in advance!

Everything is good except, you need to add "me"

"A mí me gusta jugar a la Kinect."

See this post to understand why we have this preposition pattern. Click here

If Kinect is really una consola (fem) it should be a la (al is only a + el as you know :) - FELIZ77, Apr 7, 2011
Yea, you're probably right.. I'll switch it. ;-) - DJ_Huero, Apr 7, 2011

No pienso que Kinect es una consola.... yo usaría "al Kinect" también.

This is not correct. - DJ_Huero, Apr 7, 2011
for the first sentence you wrote. You can also say "A mí me gusta jugar el Kinect" - elCocoLoco, Apr 7, 2011
"al" not "el" - DJ_Huero, Apr 7, 2011
ya your right, sorry. you do need the "a". You got me thinking, I just asked my co worker from Spain, he say "a la" because the kinect is a "consola", my apologies - elCocoLoco, Apr 7, 2011
Hmm, in my experience, typically names are masculine. Like, "vamos al McDonalds." Anyways, hope this helps. =) - DJ_Huero, Apr 7, 2011
But Evan... if it was "a la"... it would stay that way. Not be put together into "al" as that means "a + el". - Cassie873, Apr 7, 2011
