When using the verb continuar in the command form would it be continúa or continua?

Yes, it needs an accent mark. Without it the ua would form a dipthong and the emphasis would be on the i instead of the u. If you type continuar into the dictionary here it will give you the conjugations with (hopefully) proper spellings.

I wouldn't know, but the conjugation page says yes, use the accent. Check it out! Welcome back to SpanishDict.

Without the accent, it is the adjective meaning continuous.
