"Otra vez la burra el triga"
I'm in northern New Mexico, which admittedly speaks odd Spanish. Is anyone familiar with the phrase, "otra vez la burra el triga". I'm thinking it might be something like, "back to his old tricks...not sure

"otra vez la burra al trigo" is an expression phrase who said when someone makes something that we think is a mistake and making it over an over, and it damages to one who does it.
No matter if the fact is really a mistake, but we just think it do, and the phrase is a way to announcing our displeasure more for the hurt that we knows it provokes than for the fact.
Literally, when the donkey goes to the wheat, provokes that the owner punish the animal.
So expression is more for our knowledge of the punishment than for what someone is doing
I hope you're not offended by suggestions for your English, but I've received a lot of help with my Spanish,so I like to return the favor.
...an espression said when someone makes a mistake and has made it over and over, harming themselves. It doesn't matter if it's really a mistake, but the speaker thinks it is. The phrase is a way of saying he or she is concerned about the consequences. When the donkey goes to the wheat, the owner punishes the animal. The expression is more about the punishment than the mistake.
Here we go again! (Said to someone asking the same question or making the same mistake over and over.)
. . .and it should be "al trigo"
¡Muchas gracias!
