How far is it..........

How far is it..........

It just occured to me, if I want to say "Is it far"? I say ¿Es muy lejos? (note that ¿está lejos? would indicate a location and not an unstated distance...... at any rate I don't want to get into THAT discussion)

but that if I wanted to say "HOW far is it?" I don't know how I would proceed with that.

It's far. How far? Not with como, I think. ¿Cuántos miles de aquí es/está? But, anyway to just say "How far" simply, like that? Gracias. Es lejos...... ¿como? Something like that....

"¿Cuán lejos es/está [Paris de Galicia][de aquí]?"

"¿Qué tan lejos queda [Paris de Galicia][de aquí]?"

Just as a matter of interest, in Spain this "qué tan lejos" sounds really off, I know though it is used.

We say:

¿A qué distancia....?
