I recall in one of my high school spanish classes seeing the phrase "estoy para" plus a verb. The book stated that this phrase translates to "I'm about to". For example, "Estoy para hacerlo" would translate to "I am about to do it". I can't find anything on it now, though. Is this phrase ever used/is it translated correctly?

I have seen this phrase "Aquí estoy para hacer tu voluntad" Here I am (In order to be) at your service-- a rough translation I think. I have also seen Nací para hacerlo. I was born to do it. I presume you could say, Aquí estoy, para hacerlo, therefore Estoy para hacerlo maybe is a shortened version of this. I am a learner of spanish too so I hope I am not giving you false information!!!
