Another Flashcard Question...
How many user-created flashcards are there? And what determines their ranking when you select that tab? Is it just random? And finally, what determines a "favorite". I notice that one of my user-created sets has 10 "faves" for example. Hve other people actuallly accessed my set & somehow "selected" it? Just curious about all this...

I will answer the questions I know the answers to- which is only some of them.
Every favorite number means someone added your list to their list of favorites (I generally do so to bookmark the list when I don't want to do it now, but want to be able to find it in the future to do- I will also deselect it once I am done so my list doesn't get too long).
One of the options at the top allows you to make your set listed or unlisted- meaning other people can access them. Initially the default was to listed, now the default is to unlisted, I personally do not know when that changed. Presumably anybody can access and do any listed set, and not any unlisted set. When I have forgotten to list my sets, they do not show up on the main list (I have always gone back and edited them though so all mine are available to anyone).
You can find sets 3 ways that I have found- on the main list (I do not know where that order comes from), on the user set list (which is chronological starting with the newest), or by typing in a word in the search, in which case it comes up with a selection of sets (and I do not know how it picks or orders those sets).
I do not know how many sets total there are, nor how many are listed and unlisted.
I don't know if it's possible to give an exact answer to how many sets there are because new sets are made all the time. The default for the list of flashcards is "top faves". That's determined by how many users put a set in their favorites. Yes, other user have put your set in their favorites. This is done when you open a set of flashcards, near the top of the far left of the page, There's a small box with three items in it, "add to faves, print flashcards, and challenge a friend". When you want to choose a set from you faves on the page that says "browse all flashcard sets" click the tab that says, "my faves".
