''tas pesado''

I'd say that this means "Estás pesado," which is "You are a bore."

Everywhere I have lived and been where Spanish is spoken as the main language, this is the meaning associated to the expression. You're a bore, you're being obnoxious, you're insufferable. - Gekkosan, Nov 5, 2011

"ta" is "está", so I would guess "tas" is "estás".

Yeah in really informal type speech many sounds like that end up getting cut off.

Estoy - toy Está - ta Estás - tas para - pa para adelante - pa'lante para atrás - pa'trás

etc

And to answer your question tas pesado means you're annoying.

This is just a running together of words from speaking quickly. ¿Te has pesado? ...Have you weighed yourself?

Of course if the word "pesado" is misspelled, it could be "pensado" ... Have you thought?

And then the other possibility "¿Estás pesado?" ...... Are you heavy?

"Pesado" as previously mentioned does also mean "hard to get along with" but it seems strange that someone whould be asking this. This phrase is usually said in a statement.

Here in the Southwest US, I always understood "pesado" to be modismo for someone is who is "smart, clever, or even all-knowing" but I suppose in an annoying fashion, as Murk has already alluded to above... each time I have heard it (and subsequently used it myself), it was used to poke fun at the other person... so, maybe it's a veiled insult, huh? wink red face

Estas pesado.....first of all I'm mexican and the only way I used that phrase is to express.. a bad ass...for example pesado translate in english to heavy, solid, strong or firm, so when I say pancho villa es un hombre muy pesado that means he is firme a bad .. he always keeps gaurd,, is it just me or do other people use the phrase as I do?
