I recently traveled to Costa rica. there i heard the word "Tabe' after apologizing to an employee when i made a mistake. The word was prounounced tah-be and i was wondering if that was slang for "Esta bien"? If not, what does that mean? Thank you

Como tu lo dijiste, significa "Esta bien".

In some countries people speak too fast and the language is distorted.

En algunos lugares las personas hablan muy rápido y el idioma se distorsiona, por ejemplo:

-esta bien.

-sta bien (very used in México, spanish not recommended)

-ta bien (widely used in Mexico, spanish not recommended)

-ta ben.

-ta be.

Otros ejemplos (Spanish not recommended) palabras usadas en Veracruz y algunas costas de Mexico:

Complicado-Complicao

Complot-Compló

Veracruz-Veracrú

Terminaste-Terminate

Enamorado-Enamorao

Dijiste-dijite

Al lado-Al lao

Préstame-Pretame

Saludos
