Congrats for your team Vaanz! I think you meant 2011 in your post? - amykay, Apr 2, 2011

Well done to India Vaanz, it was a well deserved win , they played well right throughout the tournament. - ray76, Apr 2, 2011

Answer 1

The Indian team were just magnificent , they are definitely the best in the world

their Captain is just a legend.

Thanks Ray!!! - Vaanz, Apr 3, 2011

Great !!! - Fidalgo, Apr 3, 2011

Answer 2

exactly know how Heidi felt when Spain lifted the World Cup!!!!!

I don't think that's "exactly". I C C Cricket World Cup is not a worldwide tournament like F I F A World Cup. A few cricket teams meet the criteria of I C C to compete.

With people in South Asia, the effect of cricket is as great as that of soccer/football.

Above all

¡Congratulations, India... !!

???? ??, ????

??????????? ??????????????, ???????

I hoped that India would be the champions and the team did it now

This is a very good tournament of India. They beat the defending champion, Australia, and eliminated Pakistan after that, finally, Sri Lanka.

Congratulations and see you again in Australia and NZ in 2015

The 2011 I C C Cricket World Cup:

?The 2nd time India has won the championship (1st time in 1983 in England, India beat West Indies)

?The 2nd time the tournament has been hosted by 3 countries (1st time in 1996 in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka; 2nd time in 2011 in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh)

?The 2nd time a host country has won the tournament (1st time in 1996, Sri Lanka was the winner)

?The 3rd time India has been a host country (1987 (co-hosting with Pakistan), 1996 (co-hosting with Pakistan, Sri Lanka), 2011 (co-hosting with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka). This is the 2nd time Sri Lanka has hosted.

?The 1st time the final match has been played by 2 host countries (India and Sri Lanka)

I'm sorry that this map can't indicate all the territories of India, e.g., Andaman and Nicobar Islands are absent - Fidalgo, Apr 2, 2011

Thank you Fidalgo!!!!! - Vaanz, Apr 3, 2011

Answer 3

Great victory Vaanz - Congratulations.

I am quite happy now that England got a "tie" with India.

I don't think so. This is the 2nd time India has won the I C C World Cup - Fidalgo, Apr 2, 2011

In 1983 in England, India beat West Indies and it was the first time - Fidalgo, Apr 2, 2011

England has never won the I C C World Cup though it has had the right to host the tournament 5 times (1975, 1979, 1983, 1999, 2019) - Fidalgo, Apr 2, 2011

I meant England tied with India in this tournament. Both teams got 328 runs. - ian-hill, Apr 2, 2011

ahhha, I'm sorry :) That was a good match - Fidalgo, Apr 2, 2011

Yeah it was an interesting match!!! I watched that in a conference room in my office :) - Vaanz, Apr 3, 2011

Answer 4

Here are some upcoming sporting events by 2015 and I hope India will be successful in all of them

?2012 South Asian Games (in Delhi, India)

?2012 AFC Challenge Cup

?2012 Summer Olympics (in London, England/theUK)

?2014 South Asian Games (in Islamabad, Pakistan)

?2014 AFC Challenge Cup

?2014 Men's Hockey World Cup (in the Hague, the Netherlands)

?2014 Commonwealth Games (in Glassgow, Scotland)

You may well get your wish Fidalgo. I doubt that we will do all that well, we are going into a phase of consolidation , and hopefully we will not be so cocky in the future. - ray76, Apr 2, 2011

We are more interested in 2015 WC.. But our GOD(Sachin) won't be there :( - Vaanz, Apr 3, 2011
