So, just letting those know who are newbies or who never really got it:
1) This is a free learning site, all lessons, material, Learning resources, answers...everything is free and no fee will be charged.
2) I am, unfortunately, not getting married to my dear Julian whom I dearly love of course, but then I would have to divorce my husband first, who , like everybody knows, is Eddy
3) Cogumela is N O T leaving us, pufff, that really caused an uproar, she told me she had been unable to do the corrections, as she had received like a hundred PMs, !!! ( I am really happy to hear that by the way
)
4) Spanishdict is not giving away any kind of "Giveaway".
5) Lovely is N O T 9-years-old, wow, I even got PMs on that!! jeje
6) The rules for the Picture of the Day have N O T changed!
7) Dakie is N O T the superstar admin, jeje

The following might be true, of course, this has to be verified: Gekko might be a girl, Rabbit might be fluent in Spanish, Ian might get married and invite us all....

April Fool's Day had its highs and lows. On balance, it was a great day. It brought out the creativity and imagination of the members without boundaries.
I see how much this affected many members. It is unmistakable proof that we have a real and live community here online. People here really care what happens here.
I was disappointed by comments that suggest we should not do this again. That level of suppression feels at odds with the prevailing culture here. Just my opinion.
Yesterday is certainly a day I will never forget. I have never been a member of a site like this before or gotten close to so many people. It is interesting what power such tales can have on a group people, most who have never even met each other. When I turned on the site yesterday, most of the jokes had been revealed, so I did not have to worry very much as others did. I believe that this phenomenon shows how much of a community we have become and how much we care about each other.
Today is a new day! We love our SpanDict Community!
Happy April 2nd I for one had a blast yesterday and didn't put any stock in anythingthat was said but I really don't recall it going quite so far last year. It just shows the kind of group we have going here now. I know some of you were rubbed the wrong way but as Heidita said "I think with a sense of humour, life is so much more fun!"
However, I'm glad it's over!!!

There were definitely some good jokes.....and I definitely fell for some of them....
The pay site thing - I honestly didn't beleive that one, but it defintely wouldn't surprise me, considering how great SpanishDict is (evidcenced by all the people that are addicted to it), and it is all free!
I was VERY depressed when I found out Cogumela was leaving us, I was thinking "Oh no, that's soooo sad!!!" I was relieved when I read down through the thread and she had responded that she's not leaving - I was soooo relieved!
When I found out Lovely was 9 years old - I couldn't believe that...I read every post on that thread, and she had never said that it was a joke, so I was thinking that this must be real....I was really depressed, because I was thinking that this 9 year old girl is smarter than I am....WOW!! (I finally found the truth when I visited the café!)
It was fun, but I'm glad all that is over!!!
Oh, and Heidi getting married, I think that all the guys on SD were sad when that was posted!!! lol
This was particularly tough for me, being ahead by so many hours (we are 12 hours ahead of ET). I had to endure longer. Heidi's was dubious, although honestly I fell for the one about Cogu and for a moment I let emotions get the better of me. I went over the post again & the part about her feeling unappreciated just seemed too unbelievable, especially just days after a thread was dedicated to her. Right there and then I knew it was all cow.

. April Fools' Day is all about messing around with people and taking nothing seriously. I thought it was a blast yesterday . It was amazing just how convincing some of the posts were .
I think the stress is nothing compared to the relief of realizing it was a joke! i think if you're still miffed after that it's not because of the stress caused, but because you're angry that you were tricked!
I think I fell for most of the treads at some point. But when I saw the one about Cogumela leaving because she wasn't appreciated I knew it couldn't be true, because she is sooooooooooo loved. And after that I assumed they were all a joke.
Anyway I had fun, and I can't speak Spanish fluently! I swear it!
Already looking forward to next year

I didn't respond to a lot of those threads because I just couldn't make out the truth anymore... so confusing and sometimes so depressing...! That's why I decided to log off and see which posts were truthful and which weren't after April 1st... glad it's all over though!

Well, this had nothing to do with us, it is just that David got the joke right from the start, he posted that thread without us knowing, I thought it was hilarious. 
Feels nice to hear this whole thing about fee was just an April's fool joke, Heidi, although even if it was true, I was determined not to give up SD at any price (fee)...
As for your engagement...I'm sure many guys out there would be delighted to know you are still single...
...and...you didn't get me on Cogu's leaving; I was so positive she could never leave us...
And I was about to say that nothing in this world is for free, I was wrong.
