my mom said to my younger sister this morning that we can sleep in till the afternoon then watch movies and eat popcorn and bonbons. she actually believed her and went back to her bed.

France celebrates April 1st by sneaking up behind people and pinning a paper fish to their back. I guess they think it's funny but you know how the French are.

Most Spanish speaking countries, along with nearly all cultures that have not adopted English customs (several thousands), do not celebrate this date, as it has no significance. However, Spanish speaking countries have something called "Día de los Santos Inocentes", nearly identical in all senses, but celebrated religiously on the 28th December.
