Calling an animal by a nickname

How would i say froggie in spanish?

I looked it up and there wasn't a deffinition.

Try a diminutive. Maybe Ranita, Ranilla, Ranillo.

The Spanish are very fond of their diminutives and usually use such terms to express affection for those they love including family pets

Abuela = grandmother abuelita = granny

perro = dog but perrito =doggy

I could not find froggy mentioned iin my dictionary either and although I know the English tend to use such expressions with their young children I can only guess it might be something along the lines of ranita or ranillita ???

I don't know the origin, but my dad use to use the term "sapo".So from there I would say "sapocito'?

I don' often use nicknames for animals, but I do know a few people whom I feel compelled to call: "you Ass", "you Pig", or "you Beast!"
