. What is the eenglish translation of the word "gandola" in Latin American Spanish. I was reading an article in a Venezuelan newspaper which was recounting an accident between a "gandola y carro" ehich left 7 dead

That is a term used only in Venezuela (from http://etimologias.dechile.net/?gandola). I think the translation is "truck with trailer", or something like that.
