For Spanish teachers on having students doing work
Hi! I'm a Spanish teacher and I would like for my students to use this site as a homework thing. Is there a way for students to do activities and send to their teacher their score? As a way to prove that they actually did go home and work on the assignment? I know how to post activities to a blog, but that's my biggest hang up. Thanks to all who can help!

What you could do is ask the students to e-mail you the link to their profiles. If you have all their profile links, you can see under "Points" what they have completed. It would be easy enough to make a Bookmarks folder with your student's profiles and just rename the links with their names so you can just click through them all and see.
That is a nice idea and it could be done to a certain extent here as far a doing flashcard sets or the video lessons, but there is no way that you could keep your students from sharing their account information. Short of verifying IP addresses, you could not tell if one student signed into 10 different accounts and did their homework for them. This is not a problem unique to this site. You would have the same problem on a private web site. The internet is great for distributing material, but not so great at making sure of whom you are distributing it to.
For example, if you were to PM me your login info for SD, I could sign in to this site and do all the lessons here for you or answer questions for you, etc. and you would get the credit; not me. (The administration can check IP addresses, but they don't do it unless they have a reason to. And there is no reason why your students should be limited to one IP address. They might wish to use a school computer, a library computer, a home computer, etc. all with different IP addresses.
Long story short, it would have to be an "honor" system and if the military academies are any example, those do not work.
