fees for university registration

I need to say 'the cost of tuition and fees'. I found 'el costo de matricula, but can't find a word for fees that sounds right. Please help.

Your finding about registering/enrollment is correct, at least the way it is used in Mexico. When referring to tuition fees, it´s usually by credit or semester, ie: "El costo por crédito" / "El costo por semestre."
