Is to feel used in this context correctly?

Question

If you want to say

This person feels different to talk to - Esta persona es diferente hablar (but what if I want to use sentir - to feel? ) Esta persona siente diferente hablar

This car feels different to drive ' - Este coche siente diferente manejar

This bottle feels softer to touch - Esta botella siente más suave tocar

This language feels different to learn - Esta lengua siente diferente aprender

Arethese all wrong? Is there a preposition I have to put before the infinitive at the end of the sentence? eg. a, de apredender

Yes, they are all wrong, we can't use feel that way at all.

The "feels different to + verb" construction is alien to us. Some possible suggestions:

Esta persona es diferente al hablar / Esta persona es diferente cuando habla (also: Esta persona parece otra...)

Este parece diferente al manejarlo / Este parece diferente cuando lo manejo (Or "parece otro")

Esta botella parece más suave al tacto / Esta botella parece más suave cuando la toco

Esta lengua parece diferente cuando intentas aprenderla / Aprender esta lengua resulta (algo) distinto/diferente

Can't you say: El coche se siente mejor

La piel se siente suave.....

Isn't se siente the way to say that? Gracias.

Yes: El coche se siente mejor (despúes de que cambié los amortiguadores) - Although as Heidita pointed out, this could be interpreted as saying that the car itself is feeling better (as in it was ill, but it feels better now) - Gekkosan, Mar 29, 2011

But you can't say : it feels good to drive, to go out, to write on the forum

El coche se siente mejor

No, this sounds like: the car feels good, that is the car has feelings
