Is there a difference between "cantante" and "cancionero?"

SpanishDict translates "singer" as "Cantante"; but i have heard "cancionero" in S America in the same context. Is it a regional difference, or do they mean different things?

yes cantante is a singer and cancionero is a song book

Edit: Possibly you hear cancionista which is singer too
