You need to use accents in order to write good Spanish. They are very important and can change the meaning of words For example:
1 cómo = how? como = as, like
2 más = more; mas = but (conjunction)
3 Qué = what? que = that (relative pronoun)
In some cases omitting accents or placing them unecessarily can make the word nonsensical in meaning.
