Hi. i know 'a través de' means through but it is not sounding right in the following; El gobierno de los EEUU, a través del Ministerio de Educación, Ciencia y tecnología. Is it correct in this context

I suppose there is more in that sentence... did you cut it before you wrote it? It could be something like
The E.U government (hypothetically) received information through the minister of education, science and technology
