What is the correct pronuncation of "v" as in vente? Bentay or ventay?

Just joined. I notice vente is pronouced "vente" should it be "bentay"? regards, Frank

The v should sound exactly like a b, but the Spanish t is different from the English one, and the final e does not sound like the English "ay", which has two sounds where Spanish has only one. Don't rely in the pronunciation of your language to pronounce a language whose sounds are different (or don't even exist) from the English ones. It is like taking a violing and play different sounds while asking a piano player which one of those notes sounds like a piano. Violins don't sound like pianos.
