"charity bike ride"

"charity bike ride"

I'm preparing for my exam on Wednesday and have been considering how to trandlate "chairty bike ride", ie: a bike ride which earns money for a charity, often through people being sponsored to take part.

Here are my thoughts, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as usual. smile

I think I may have over-thought the translation as my attempts have become longer and longer each time!

Gracias

ps: I think it's important to note that this is not necessarily a competitive event as it is a "bike ride" rather than a "bike race".

The problem is that I'll have to say this phrase in my interpreting exam and I won't have time to say the 14 words in my last version when there are only 3 words in the English equivalent! - amy_moreno, Mar 28, 2011

I would say "Un paseo en bicicleta para entidades benéficas."

I am not certain about this though.

I just thought of another:

  • Un evento de beneficio de paseo en bici/bicicleta

Any thought...?
