"Troll" used like this has been become popular in the Internet, and in Spanish they use it the same way. Technically speaking, the correct spelling for troll in Spanish is "trol", with one L (the second one is unnecessary in a phonetic language), but people seem to find it fashionable to use the double L, or they are just unaware of how to write "trol" in their own language.
Any book talking about this Scandinavian mythological creature, such as The Lord of the Rings, will write this word with one L.
