Which is the Spanish equivalent to "A roads"?
I'm translating into Spanish an article named "The cream of Jersey" and I don't know how to translate "A roads": "Driving along in our tiny hire car, which turns out to be the perfect size given that Jersey's A roads are the equivalent of country lanes back home [...]"
Thanks! ![]()

In Spain the equivelent to A roads are referred to as "carreteras nacionales" to distinguish them from autovias (dual carriageways) and autopistas (motorways, some tolled)
You could translate it as las calleteras "A".
A Roads, interesting, at first I thought this was grammatical error.
