My grandson came home from school with a project. The teacher told him that culmination is a Mexican luncheon. Is that true'

Yes it is...
For "luncheon" I've got two possible words --
1) refacción
2) tentempié

Your answer was a surprise to me. Who would ever suspect that:
Luncheon = Culmination
in Mexico or any other country.
Are you able to put any context to this? When would "Culmination" be used? Is there, say, a Mexico ?> USA dictionary in which it appers? Do you know of a Mexican Slang or Idiom dictionary style book in which it appears?
I don't mean to run on, but I was really surprised by your answer. Do you have any more information or is there any more you could say about this question and your answer.
Call me "curious George".
