Todos los hombres son tratados como iguales, pero algunos son más iguales que otros.

All men are treated as equal, but some are more equal than others.

My apology to Thomas Jefferson , for messing with his wonderful sentence.

Of course you know that you're actually plagiarizing George Orwell! :D "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." - Achsah, Mar 23, 2011
He was my hero as a teenager, but you realise that he took the original phrase from Jefferson and embellished it . Erick Blair used it in "Animal Farm" - ray76, Mar 23, 2011
Eric Blair of course being the real name of George Orwell. - ray76, Mar 23, 2011
Dutch Masters by Rembrandt. A classic painting. Nice - dc-alien-z, Mar 23, 2011
Excellent, Ray! :) That's the commandement number 7! - cogumela, Mar 23, 2011
What exactly did Jefferson say? You don't mean "All men were created equal" Because that wasn't Jefferson! He was quoting Locke! - rabbitwho, Mar 23, 2011
Thomas Jefferson first used it in the Declaration of Independance. - ray76, Mar 23, 2011
You don't mean Joseph Locke ,the great Irish tenor do you ? He was a little bit later than Jefferson. - ray76, Mar 23, 2011
I would love to hear your account ,please let me know , it is a phrase well bandied around.. - ray76, Mar 23, 2011
I knew Joseph at the end of his career , I was on a working holiday in London. - ray76, Mar 24, 2011
He absolutely did not use it first Ray. The idea of that sort equality comes from the philosophers of the enlightenment, John Locke coined the term "inailable rights" as well. - rabbitwho, Mar 24, 2011
