Html Tags, Opening Tags, Closing Tags, Start Tags, End Tags
HTML uses tags. For instance, the bold tags look like this...
<b> </b>
The one on the left can also be called an opening or start tag. The one on the right can be called a closing or end tag.
It appears that etiqueta is the word I need for tag. Is that right?
But, I'm really curious how I say things like "opening tag" or "start tag" and "closing tag" or "end tag."
So, here's what I've come up with...
.
opening / closing tag
etiqueta que abre / cierra
etiqueta de abrir / cerrar
etiqueta de apertura / cierre
.
start / end tag
etiqueta inicial / final
etiqueta de comienzo / terminación

You might look in the Wiki Spanish article below. I only glanced at it (actually the introduction link, but I saw the word etiqueta used for tag. Unfortunately, the picture showing Start and End tags was labeled in English.
try digging around in this article and its links
The enitre article is in Spanish, but they label the picture in English. Go figure!

Por ejemplo: el elemento html tiene dos etiquetas:
La etiqueta de inicio <html> define el inicio del documento HTML.
La etiqueta de cierre </html> define el final del documento HTML.
In the text of this tutorial from Spain it seems that they refer to opening tags as "elementos llenos" and closing tags as "cierres." It also acknowledges the words "elementos," "etiquetas" and "tags" (in describing tags).
Here is another from Spain which uses slightly different terminology and acknowledges the following terminology:
Tags
?etiquetas
?directivas
?tags (en inglés)
Opening/Closing Tags
?etiqueta/etiqueta de cierre
?etiqueta para abrir/cerrar
?directiva inicial/de cierre
Well, I have found etiqueta inicial / final here.
