Which word should I use? voluntariada, voluntariado, voluntario, voluntaria
I say in my oral that I am a volunteer. And just for your information, I am a female. So which one do I use?
I wrote : Soy voluntariada desde un año.
I want to say that I am a volunteer since a year. Which word do I take?

Serena, if I understand your question, the English is a little odd. I would phrase the sentence
"I have been a volunteer for a year."
I'm not sure about the Spanish version, but I believe I'd use voluntaria and the verb "ser" present perfect "he sido" (have been).
"He sido una voluntaria para un año."
I'm not sure about that. You might want to wait on a native speaker.
I would say:
He sido voluntaria desde hace un año.
If you are still volunteer: Soy voluntaria desde hace un año. If you are not volunteer anymore: Fui/ He sido voluntaria durante un año This is how we say it at least in Spain.
Thank you for your help! It definately sounds better than what I have! In my text, it sounds a bit weird because I first wrote my text in french and then i translated it into spanish... that may be the reason why it is odd. I will fix it right away, thank you!! ![]()
