so is it... things & male nouns= el or los how about la and las? are they used just for female nouns?

La is singualr and las is plural for female meaning "the" but they can mean them, it in other situations.

El = Singular Male
La = Singular Female
Los = Plural Male OR Plural Mixed Genders
Las = Plural Female
