"Van a" is saying they (ellos) are going
and you can fill in the blank with an infinitive
"tienen que" is saying they have to do something
and you can fill in the second blank with an infinitive.
My choices are comer, and dormir.
They are going to eat because they have to sleep. Hope this helps.
