Any forvo.com user here? :)

Question

I have just signed up for forvo.com. I can't really say if is good or not but, from what I see, it seems to be a great place if used correctly.

SpanishDict always gets questions about how to pronounce words. Some users try to answer as best as they can using English words or sounds similar to the Spanish words, and vice-versa. That works sometimes, but it's really not as effective as hearing the word from a native speaker.

As of right now, the English language has the most speakers and the most pronunciation sounds (108.000 or so) on Forvo, followed by Portuguese and Russian. Spanish has about 53.000 pronunciations. So we Spanish speakers have some catching up to do .

I think forvo could be a great tool for a site like SpanishDict, what do you think?

Inés, I took the liberty to re-write your post, since you made the invitation. I can read and understand your post, but I offer the following for your perusal. I'm doing this because I'm learning Spanish and I appreciate the feedback from native speakers. Please don't be offended. You should see my Spanish.

The next sentence is perfect except I would to add "all" before "better" at the end. Asofright now **most of the users are native English speakers and [dictionary entries?]***(80,000 or so)***. S***panish has just like 30,000 [entries].

I don't see any problems with the rest. You did a great job, especially using casual language.
