Estoy hambriento.

Tengo hambre.

Are both of these correct? I've seen them presented differently in two different Spanish lessons, and now I'm confused grrr

Thanks!

Yes, both are correct. One uses the adjective form, hungry hambriento, the other uses the noun, hunger hambre.

Yup, both are correct! Tengo hambre is more common. And when you use estoy hambriento and want to say for (I'm hungry for...) you say Estoy hambriento de...

Well, to be more specific when you use

"tengo hambre" = "i´m hungry" / "estoy hambriento" = "I´m starving"

So, as you can see "I´m hungry" is when you haven´t eaten a meal, but when "I´m starving" is when you haven´t eaten in a longer period of time or you´re hungry due to extensive work.

Hope it helps, Good luck!
