What verb would you use when saying:
Ayer, él peleaba con los otros niños cuando decidí que él necesito más ayuda que puedo give him

You can use one of two words in this situation. Dar OR Darle Dar means give, Darle means give him. Darle gives more emphasis. The le after dar in that word is a pronoun, (more specifically, an indirect object pronoun.)
