The question in English is: "She told him not to worry." So is the translation: "Ella le dijó que no se preocupe," or "Ella le dijó que no se preocupara," since she told him in the past, would the subordinate clause be in the past subjuntive or is the present subjunctive used? Again, your help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been told that in reported speech like this that the subjunctive should not be used, but rather the imperfect preocupaba.

Hi Mark.
