"As applied to"
I came across this phrase in an article I was translating for practice, and I wanted to get some input on what others thing is the best translation of "as applied to" is as it appears in this phrase:
"As applied to the relationship between patients and health care providers, confianza is a term bursting with meaning."
My tentative translation is "En su aplicación a la relación entre los pacientes y proveedores de cuidado de salud, confianza es un término que está lleno de significancia." (Note that I'm also a little uncertain about the best day to say "bursting with meaning"; would a more literal translation work here?).
Thoughts on this?

Yes that's good. Also "al aplicarlo/la a la ..." or "tal como se aplica a la ..."
