Spectacular News/Noticia Espectacular

"Dictionary.com" (not the same as Span¡shD!ct) recently added some "new" features in Spanish. This one looks especially delicious as it looks like an opportunity to practice reading an ongoing story in Spanish on a daily weekly basis. The English translation is available on a side by side basis if you get stuck or want to throw in the towel for the day. Here is the link to the web page (URL) ----> Travel Narrative.

I hope several Spanish language learners will try it out and perhaps add their own comment on its value as a reply in this thread. It would be good to have more than one opinion.

Enjoy reading! / ¡Disfruta leyendo!

Thanks Moe. That is cool. I have it bookmarked. Spanish / English side by side just like you said. That is helpful. Fun read. Gracias

That was good! I was expecting the usual simple dialogue we've seen a million times but they really shook it up and there's a mix of useful phrases and a variety of structures.

"me siento como un pez en el agua."

I take it that's something like being a pig in * cough*

Hee hee I love the way in lesson two Kirstin is allarmed by having to kiss strange men. I've been living on continental Europe 3 years and still can't get used to it! - rabbitwho, Mar 14, 2011

It's unfortunate that they don't also provide an audio track but the conversation is a nice blend of (mostly) simple Spanish with some more advanced constructions.
