Hi, My friends in Chile always used la carrete to refer to a party or a big night out, and una luca meant a 1,000 peso note. I imagine if you do a web search for ¨Chilean slang¨ or things along those lines, you´ll get lots of help. Also, look on Amazon or other book retailers for phrase books. Here is one:

Chilenismos

Good luck!

(Just a quick FYI: Spanishdict.com asks us to use correct spelling and capitalization in the posts since many English students read the posts and use the site. Welcome!)

A friend talked me into buying this book when we used to chat. I've never used it. PM me your address if you'd like to read it and I will mail it to you. (gratis)

I know a lot of the slang there but their are also a couple websites you can look at. bacan: cool, awesome cachai: get it? or entiendes? pololo/a: boyfriend or girlfriend weon: is like "wey" "guay" (i am not sure how to spell it sorry) in mexican. like friend, but don't use it with just anyone wena: is like buena or good wea: thing or una cosa or they would say something like "que wea pasa??" fome: boring piola: cool, chill, traquilo Hope I helped! They also "po" at the end of a sentance for emphasis lie "si po!" You can look for more here. http://www.contactchile.cl/en/chile-chilean-slang.php
