dos adoloridos? two soreheads??

I've happened upon the word "adolorido" in an 1890s newspaper from san Antonio, Texas. It mentions "dos adoloridos" in referring to two lawyers who brought an unpopular lawsuit. (i.e., they are using the term derogatorily). I'm thinking that "soreheads" is the right translation, but I don't know for sure.

It's hard to tell without more context. Literally of course it means that two sore / hurting people. Your theory is as good as any. From what you say I figure it could have been used to mean "two whiners"...
