Is something missing in this sentence?

my friend wrote to me but I am having problems with this sentence, "se que eres una senora pero eso no lo determina los amo a ustedes dos". When I translate this it makes no sense, can someone try to help me understand what he is trying to say?

Sé que eres una senora pero eso no lo determina los amo a ustedes dos

I would translate this as "I know that you are a (married) woman but that isn't conclusive (doesn't decide it) I love you both".

Maybe another member will come up with something different, that's always possible.
